Gullrock's on Fire

What a great fishing week. We have had some great walleye fishing. It seems like there are fish everywhere. We even had a 27 ½ inch walleye off the dock. Also reports of 40+ Northern every day. The weather has finally seemed to straighten out, though we have not gotten too hot yet. Most days are in the low to mid 70’s with a good chop on the water. Some of the hot spots this week are the big island in keg, the toe of the boot, and marker island. Sunken island has not been producing as well as it should for this time of year although there is still some fish on it. Most of the more aggressive fish are in 18-21 feet. People are catching some nicer fish just a little deeper, 24 feet. Northers are hitting top water pretty good now. Suick has been the best lure and also large spoons are working well. The bigger Northerns are all coming out of weeds close to deep water, clay banks have been a little slow, but still a few monsters have been caught like this 43, 23lber.
Jig color of choice is blue and chartreuse, with a minnow or leech.
Back trollers are using large gold spinners with minnows or crawlers.
We hope to see you soon to get a piece of this action.
